Review Of Belmont Park
The Belmont Park was built upon 430 acres in Elmont, New York. There are two racing meets at Belmont Park. The spring/summer meet and the fall meet.
Belmont Park is one of the major thoroughbred horse race tracks in the United States, and is well known all over the world. Belmont Park is home to the Belmont Stakes, the final leg of the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing. It is the longest of the three races in the Triple Crown. Belmont Park is considered the most difficult race for the inexperienced three-year old horses. Belmont Park may hold the Belmont Stakes, but they also run many other races during their time of operation. The most famous races are The Man O' War Stakes, the Jockey Club Gold Cup, the Manhattan Handicap, the Vosburgh Stakes, the Travis Stakes and many more notable races operate through Belmont Park, making this track one of the most significant in the world.
Belmont Park initially opened in May of 1905 and is located in the town of Elmont, New York, just outside of Long Island. Along with the Aqueduct Race Track and the Saratoga Race Track, Belmont Park is one of the largest sporting venues in the state of New York. The Belmont Park is known as The Championship Track, as they have had nearly every important champion pass through their posts. Since Belmont Park is part of the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing, all eleven of the Triple Crown Champions have successfully won through Belmont Park. The world record for the fastest completion of a 1.5 mile track also took place at Belmont Park. As most horse racing fans know, that horse was Secretariat. Even today, Secretariat since 1973, holds the record for the fastest time. Secretariat completed the mile and a half track in two minutes and twenty-four seconds.
As I mentioned, Belmont Park RaceTrack may be the home of the Belmont Stakes, but many other important races in thoroughbred horse racing have taken place at Belmont Park. This is why Belmont Park is one of the most popular recetrack in the world. Very few other racetracks hold a comperable list of major races as Belmont Park. Each of the races at Belmont Park makes for a wide array of available betting options, making Belmont Park not only one of the most exciting parks at which you could spectate, but also making betting at Belmont Park one of the most profitable ventures in all of thoroughbred racing. Most major online racebooks will most likely include Belmont Park RaceTrack in their online racebook.

Belmont Park has long been established as a prestigious racing venue, with elegant attire being a long standing tradition. Ths, while sports jackets and skirts are not forced upon the general public, those who honor the tradition are appreciated. In addition to this, a number of facilities are only available to those who are properly attired to promote the continuance of the tradition. Generally speaking, no shorts, jeans or other casual wear should be worn. Men should make use of suits or sports jackets with a collared shirt while women should wear dresses, skirts or slacks outfits. The keeping of this tradition certainly adds to the atmosphere and helps to maintain Belmont Park’s reputation as a racing great.
In addition, the facilities at Belmont Park include binocular rentals, ATM machines, a coat check, personal handicapping stations, race replay centers, first aid and lost and found services.
Belmont Park opens 11 AM EST, and the races commence shortly there after. Finally, since Belmont Park is one of the major tracks, many of the races taking place at Belmont Park are either televised or broadcasted over the Internet.
